Bio
Dr Andrew Wettenhall completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1996, before two years of residency with Geelong Hospital, followed by a further two years of work as a Medical Registrar with St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne.
He commenced rural General Practitioner training in 2001 with six months in Seymour, before moving to Mansfield to complete his post graduate training. He obtained fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GPs in 2003. The same year he joined the existing practice principals at Mansfield Medical Clinic, bought a house in town and got married to his fiancé Eileen!
He and Eileen have since had 4 children, 2 of whom were born here in the Mansfield District Hospital.
Andrew worked winters in the Mt Buller Medical Centre for a total of 16 seasons between 2001 and 2017, developing expertise in the assessment and management of snow sport injuries. When not running the clinic Andrew enjoys mountain biking, bushwalking, free-heel (telemark) skiing, nature photography and paddling.
In 2021, Andrew celebrated 20 years of service in the Mansfield community.
